Preparatory study to Under the skin.

Study of a particular kind of distortion of the string, obtained starting from a natural harmonic. While playing, the bow goes underneath the finger producing the harmonic
having behind another finger working as pivot, placed on the string with a slightly stronger pressure. The result is a harsh distortion, recalling the cry of an animal.
Further nuances have been obtained by changing the contact point of the bow on the string. The research has been repeated on seven different tunings of the G string of the violin, each one distant a quarter of tone from the previous one, in order to create long and almost imperceptible glissandos.
